Enforcing Immigration Law, Bali Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Immediately Deports Foreign Citizens Who Misuse Stay Permits

BAYANGKARA.CO, DENPASAR – The Regional Office (Kanwil) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) Bali through the Class I Immigration Office (Kanim) TPI Denpasar held a press conference against Foreign Citizens (WNA) who Misuse Immigration Stay Permits while in Indonesian Territory, Tuesday (28/ 2).

The press conference which was held in the Foreigner Monitoring Team Room (TimPORA) Kanim Denpasar was attended by the Head of the Immigration Division (Kadiv) of the Bali Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Barron Ichsan, Head of the Class I Immigration Office (Kakanim) TPI Denpasar, Tedy Riyandi along with the Head of the Intelligence and Enforcement Section Kanim Denpasar

It is known that SZ’s brother (28) is a foreigner from Russia who abused his immigration residence permit because he worked without a permit. The Denpasar Immigration Service will deport SZ to Moscow on Tuesday (28/2/2023) evening via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.

On this occasion the Head of the Immigration Division, Barron Ichsan said that regarding the immigration action carried out by the Denpasar Immigration Office Inteldakim Team against SZ’s brother namely the imposition of Article 75 paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2011 Concerning Immigration.

“Immigration officials have the authority to carry out Immigration Administrative Actions against Foreigners who are in Indonesian Territory who carry out dangerous activities and are reasonably suspected of endangering security and public order or not respecting or disobeying laws and regulations,” explained Barron before the media crew during a press conference.

Barron also explained that SZ’s brother was subject to deportation to his home country and was put on the deterrence list.

“In accordance with immigration regulations, SZ will be detained for 6 (six) months and related to the accommodation costs for returning home, he will be borne personally,” concluded Barron.

According to Barron, this is also to follow up on public complaints about foreigners working without a permit on the Island of the Gods.

“With the widespread public unrest about the presence of foreigners who carry out activities that are not in accordance with the laws and regulations, I order the ranks to take strict action according to the regulations in force,” concluded Barron.

The same thing was conveyed by the Head of Denpasar Kanim, Tedy Riyandi. His party will not tolerate violators of the Immigration Law, including foreign workers without permits, aka illegal.

Tedy revealed that the foreigner from Russia entered through Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport in 2022 with an investor visa.

“It is known that he did the work of a photographer in Bali, for this reason we are taking firm action and will deport him today, Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Tonight we will send SZ back via I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport,” said Tedy accompanied by the Head of the Head of Inteldakim Kanim Denpasar , Iqbal Rifai.
